Dr. Dave Hansen is the Chief Technology Officer at Auria, leading the development of innovative software solutions that power modern space operations. With over 20 years of experience in full solution development, he has played a key role in advancing mission-critical space programs. Previously, Dr. Hansen performed as a chief engineer at Northrop Grumman, ensuring secure and scalable communications between ground stations and satellites. Prior to this, he worked as a federal employee for the Department of Defense, managing satellite constellation operations and driving future policy and technology to support next-generation SATCOM capabilities. As a visionary technology leader, Dr. Hansen is committed to accelerating growth by integrating cutting-edge software solutions with agile methodologies. He believes in fostering a collaborative, forward-thinking engineering culture to push the boundaries of space innovation.
Dr. Hansen earned a project management degree from Colorado Technical University, a master’s degree in Space System Operations Management from Webster, and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree focused on strategy and innovation from Capella University. When not driving technical strategy, he also supports the Space Force Association, providing guidance for chapter operations across the entire organization.
