Defined fallback modes when networks, sensors, or compute assets go offline. Mission continues; capability is reduced predictably, not catastrophically.
Offline-capable operations
Local execution paths that don't depend on cloud or upstream connectivity. Critical decisions still happen at the edge.
Automated failover
Cross-domain handoff when primary systems are denied or destroyed. No operator intervention required for the basic survival case.
Contested-environment hardening
Designed for the threat model where the adversary is actively trying to break Kythera.
