Auria to Provide Ground Software for BAE Systems support to the U.S. Space Force Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking Program
Colorado Springs, CO – June 18, 2026: Auria announced today that it has been awarded a contract by BAE Systems to provide a containerized, mission management and flight dynamics software solution for the U.S. Space Force. Auria’s Commercial and Public Sector will deliver software products and engineering services including design, systems engineering, software configuration, integration, testing, documentation, model development, and support to operations.
Auria’s Commercial and Public Sector will deliver its industry-leading AI-powered Collection Planning & Analysis Workstation (CPAW) and Astro Scheduler software products configured for the MEO Epoch 2 Resilient Missile Warning & Tracking Program (RMWT). These products will generate operational-fidelity observation schedules, mission plans, and related communications schedules for use in on-orbit operations. CPAW-generated sensor observation plans are output for command generation, manual plan inspection and adjustment, and 3D visualization and animation. CPAW uses high fidelity system and sensor modeling and advanced scheduling algorithms to generate optimized collection plans for use in spacecraft operations and analysis. CPAW capabilities include recorder management, power management and antenna modeling, imaging platform attitude/slew planning, system availability management, timing constraints, and sensor imaging mode modeling and related collection constraints, deconfliction and optimization. CPAW also provides order management and collection feasibility features that will support MEO Epoch 2 requirements. Astro Scheduler will be used for communications scheduling, including optical link planning, traditional radiofrequency (RF) contact scheduling, as well as supporting additional mission scheduling needs. Astro Scheduler provides a highly flexible and configurable planning application to handle known and future as-yet unknown constraints and requirements for satellite and ground system activity scheduling. Astro Scheduler and CPAW planning will be coordinated and automated through Auria’s configurable Collection and Mission Planning (CaMP) module.
In addition to the mission management, collection planning and scheduling solution, Auria will also provide the flight dynamics software solution for the MEO Epoch 2 constellation that BAE Systems is developing. Auria engineers will configure these software tools for the MEO Epoch 2 constellation parameters and orbit data measurement sources, integrate the software into the overall ground system, and automate the execution of routine flight dynamics processes.
The proposed software products and integrated solution will provide comprehensive REST APIs for integration with other MEO Epoch 2 ground system elements. A secure multi-user web browser interface for operators, managers, and engineers provides configurable role-based permissions to ensure that each user logging into the system has access only to the data and features necessary to do their job.
“We are excited to contribute our AI-powered software and capabilities to help ensure the success of this program as we have done with every other RMWT program to date.” said Alex Herz, Director of Growth Strategy at Auria.
BAE Systems’ John Sanders, Ground Chief Engineer added “We are impressed with Auria’s mature COTS-based software solution for this program and what it brings to the ground architecture to reduce schedule, risk and cost while still delivering advanced mission management and flight dynamics capabilities.”
